Epstein Lambasts Hastings Law School All Comers Policy : McClatchy blog: Suits & Sentences

By Andis Kaulins

ADVERTISEMENTS
As reported at McClatchy blog: Suits & Sentences, Chicago law prof Richard Epstein lambasted the Hastings Law School mandated all comers organization member policy in a discussion at The Heritage Foundation on the bizarre Supreme Court CLS Case decision:
"I have never heard of a stupider, less coherent and indefensible property than a take-all-comers policy with respect to an organization that maintains any form of intellectual coherence."
We agree with Epstein entirely and predict that the idiotic decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in this case will come back to haunt freedom of speech cases in the future.

Essentially -- to our view -- in principle, according to that stupid decision, ANY organization receiving federal monies of any kind is subject to challenge if they do not have an all comers policy for admitting members to that organization. Yikes!
