Almost as many farmers were killed on the job as truckers, according to a new state study. During 2007 23 truckers and 22 farmers died on the job. A total of 79 work-related fatalities occurred last year. For farmers it's mostly caused by using older tractors that don't include a ROP (Roll Over Protection). Surprisingly farmer deaths are 25% below the ten-year average.
Be careful, take more time to do the job right the first time and protect yourself from serious injury.
