: GamePolitics.comCostner on Govt Bureaucracy: ?Like Playing a Video Game?
By pete_gallagher
Actor Kevin Costner thinks he has a product that can help with the Gulf oil spill, so much so that he's invested $24 million of his own money in the technology.
The only problem, Costner stated, is navigating through government bureaucracy to get ideas evaluated. The actor likened the situation to 'playing a video game that no one can master,' in speaking to a hearing of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Apparently, being a famous Hollywood type helped streamline the process, as BP is reportedly going to use 32 centrifuge machines from Costner and Ocean Therapy Solutions to separate oil from water. The devices are touted as being able to clean 200 gallons of water per minute, or 210,000 gallons per day.
