: Des Moines Personal Injury LawyerProfit Rises 47% For World's Largest Oil Services Company

With the continuing increase in energy prices, the demand for products from companies such as Schlumberger Ltd. has also increased. Schlumberger is the world's largest oil services company and has recently reported that its second-quarter profit rose 47%.
Net profit for the Houston-based company rose to $1.26 billion, or $1.02 cents per diluted share, from $857 million, or 69 cents, a year earlier.
However, Schlumberger claims that their short-term outlook is uncertain because of "record imports of liquefied natural gas and weakness in Canada."
Huh? Weakness? Record imports seems to equate to a lot of profit.
