Oddo joins Robbins Umeda

Robbins Umeda LLP has announced that Stephen J. Oddo joined the firm as partner, effective June 1, 2010. Formerly a partner at Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins, LLP (now known as Robbins, Geller, Rudman & Dowd, LLP), Mr. Oddo will focus his practice at Robbins Umeda on securities class actions involving corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Oddo has represented individual and institutional shareholders in merger and acquisition class actions for nearly a decade. He has secured tens of millions of dollars of additional consideration for clients whose investments have been subject to coercive corporate transactions.

Mr. Oddo earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, his Masters of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University?s Medill School of Journalism, and his Bachelor of Arts degree at Santa Clara University.

Robbins Umeda was named a "serious player" by the National Law Journal in its Litigation Boutiques feature.
