My current favorite K book is "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish."

I have no memory of reading this book when I was a kid. I must have read it, but when I picked it up recently it was completely unfamiliar. (It's not now. I have it memorized.)

It's about all the pets that go by.

My favorite is Ish, who has an Ish wish dish:

When I wish to make a wish
I wave my hand with a big swish swish.
Then I say, "I wish for fish!"
And I get fish right on my dish.

I tried skyr, Icelandic yogurt. It's thick and creamy and sweetened with agave nectar so it's low in sugar. Would be great in smoothies, but a little sour for me by itself.

Yogurt seems to be the new salt. (Which used to be the new balsamic vinegar.) Our local grocery store has a new fancy yogurt section with a zillion different kinds, including several different Greek yogurts and my favorite, Swiss Emmi yogurt.

We were watching TV the other day and I said, "Why does she wear her hair down on our forehead like that? She has such a pretty face." JW gave me A Look. But wisely, he said nothing.

The afternoon wasn't very productive, so I picked up K early. I stuck him in the Beco and we went for a walk around the neighborhood. We stopped at a neighborhood store to pick up some things for dinner. "I don't want to graduate, K," I said. "Can I stay in school forever?" He said, "Bah."

I know. He's right. Still, it's awfully nice to be able to take a long walk on a sunny afternoon.
