Families Settle Suit Over Drowning of 3-Year-Old Boy

A $1.1 million settlement has been reached between two Connecticut families over the drowning of a 3-year-old boy. Krista Repko was babysitting Cole Veenhuis and his twin sister in May 2009 when the boy fell into the family pool and drowned. The lawsuit alleged that Krista froze and waited too long before jumping in to try and save him. The lawsuit also claims that Krista’s mother had misrepresented her daughter?s abilities as a baby sitter to the Veenhuis’ family.
