Suit Filed Over Strangling Death of Shoplifter

A lawsuit has been filed against CVS and a Chicago store employee who allegedly strangled a man to death for shoplifting crayons and toothpaste. Michael Johnson said in his lawsuit that an unnamed employee chased his son, Anthony Kyser, from the store and put him in a choke hold that resulted in death. County medical examiners ruled the death a homicide, but police determined the death to be an accident. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
