: Law Blog - WSJ.comPfizer?s General Counsel Steps Down
By Dan Slater
The GC churn continues at Pfizer. Citing personal reasons, the company announced this afternoon that Allen Waxman, who in 2006 replaced Jeffrey Kindler as the company’s general counsel, is leaving the company. Waxman (pictured) will remain outside counsel to Pfizer through an interim period, during which David Reid, currently a senior VP and managing director, will fill in as the temporary GC.
Back in August, 2006, Kindler, who transitioned from GC to CEO, labeled Waxman an “essential” element in Pfizer’s reorganized executive ranks.
