: Legal Blog WatchA Hitler Update

ADVERTISEMENTS
Yes, he's still dead. But, unfortunately, so may be "the meme that will never die." I, embarrassingly, first discovered the Hitler "Downfall" meme a couple of months back when a Seattle DUI Law Firm adapted it as a promotional video. This week, in advance of what would have been Adolf's 121st birthday yesterday, a whole bunch of the "Downfall" videos began being taken down from YouTube, as a result of copyright claims by Constantin Films, the production company behind the real movie. As I noted in my original post, the director of "Der Untergang" himself indicated that he was a fan of the parodies.
