: New York City Personal Injury LawyerVan Hits and Kills Young Bicyclist in Brooklyn

A van hit and killed an 18-year-old man riding a bicycle on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, The New York Daily News reported.
Police told the news source that the accident happened about 9:30 Wednesday morning when 28-year-old Michael Oxley ran a red light and hit bicyclist Jake McDonough, of Kensington. The accident trapped the victim under the van and dragged him for half a block against the road surface before the van came to a halt.
McDonough died at the scene.
Oxley was driving on a suspended license at the time of the accident. Police charged him with criminally negligent homicide.
