: Dallas Personal Injury LawyerUpdate: State Revoking Killeen Day Care License
By RLF Staff
This is an update on the police and state investigation of the Little Blessings Child Care Center in Killeen, Texas. The mother of a 4-month-old girl noticed a rash and upon medical examination, the doctor said he suspected sexual abuse. On Feb. 29, 23-year old Terrance Beard admitted to sexually assaulting the child while she was under the care and supervision of the day care owner.
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services today issued the Little Blessings Child Care Center a letter stating that the center's child care license would be revoked, citing the alleged February 20 sexual assault of the child while under the care of the center as well as previous violations by the daycare:
"You, as the owner and director of this child care operation, were responsible for ensuring it operated in compliance with minimum standards for licensed child care centers," the letter states. "Within the past two weeks, findings of abuse, neglect and serious deficiencies with minimum standards have been made against your child care operation."
