: Legal Pad | LASilver & Freedman adds 8 attorneys from defunct firm

Eight attorneys from a defunct Los Angeles firm joined Silver & Freedman's L.A. office.
Attorneys Darin Margules, William Holcomb, Leon Katz and Jeffrey Lee joined the office as partners and Tara Hitchcok, Leah Phillips, Kathryn Tyler and Jonathan Wolf joined as associates. The were all previously attorneys at Tyre Kamins, which closed in December.
Margules, who was a co-managing partner at Tyre Kamins, told The Daily Journal that no single factor led to the firm's closure but that it struggled after some senior partners got sick or died.
The move adds experience to Silver & Freedman in intellectual property, business, tax and estate planning.
