"10 Simple Google Search Tricks"

Here are 10 of his favorites.

1. Use the "site:" operator to limit searches to a particular site.  
2. Use Google as a spelling aid.
3. Additionally, if you want to get a definition of a word, you can use the "define:" operator to return definitions from various dictionaries
4. Use Google as a calculator.
5. Find out what time it is anywhere in the world.
6. Get quick currency conversions.
7. Use the OR operator.
8. Exclude specific terms with the - operator.
9. Search for specific document types.
10. Search within numerical ranges using the .. operator.
11. Area code lookup.
