: Lenz BlogGerman Surveillance Law Constitutional Complaint
By Karl-Friedrich Lenz

The constitutional complaint by about 30.000 people has been filed at the Federal Constitutional Court immediately.
German law allows filing this kind of constitutional challenge at the level of the Federal Constitutional Court (the highest court in Germany) if the matter is of general interest. The fact that this is the biggest number of plaintiffs in the history of the Court backs up that claim.
