Maryland Completes Intergovernmental Review of Sparrows Point LNG Project

Last month Maryland's Department of Planning informed FERC that the Maryland Intergovernmental Review and Coordination process has been completed for Sparrows Point LNG. The Department of Planning's letter to FERC is available in the eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-62.

Separately, FERC staff announced the availability of a revised Draft Final General Conformity Determination for Pennsylvania for the Sparrows Point LNG project and associated pipelines. FERC concluded that the portions of the project that will be located in Pennsylvania will achieve conformity with applicable state and federal air quality standards once project developers purchase the requisite number of NOx offsets. FERC's draft is also available in the eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-62.
