Just a heads-up on upcoming business-related events at Emory:

Next Thursday, February 11th, we'll be holding our annual Thrower Symposium. This year's event is entitled The New New Deal: From De-regulation to Re-regulation. Of particular interest to Glom readers may be our panel entitled A More Visible Hand? The New Role of the State in the Financial Sector, which begins at 1PM. We're fortunate to have such household names as Don Langevoort, Jon Macey, Frank Partnoy, and Emory's own Bobby Ahdieh gracing our panel. I'll be moderating.

Also in the pipeline is our biennial transactional law conference. This year's conference is entitled Transactional Education: What's Next? It will happen on June 4th and 5th.
