What's Up With Kirkland's Revolving Door?

Star patent litigator John Desmarais this week announced he is giving up his partner title to become of counsel at the firm while launching a patent licensing company. Desmarais's move comes on the heels of last week's announcement that star litigator David Bernick is headed to Philip Morris International. The week before that, IP litigator Peter Armenio left to co-chair Quinn Emanuel's global life sciences practice. Is it just us, or is a pattern emerging?
