Naomi Young and Lawrence Gartner join Ballard Spahr as partners

Naomi Young and Lawrence Gartner joined Ballard Spahr's Los Angeles office as partners in their litigation and labor, employment and immigration groups. They both were previously at Kauff McClain.

Young defended employers in class action litigation and tried over 20 jury trials in employment cases over her 30 years of practice. She's also represented employers in arbitrations and ADR proceedings before administrative judges. Young is also a volunteer mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court and a founding member of the National Employment Law Council.Young was previously on the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission and the board of directors of California Women Lawyers.

Gartner defended employers in fast food, supermarket and air services industries in class action wage and hour litigation. He has also represented employers in more than 20 jury trials involving claims of employment discrimination, sexual and racial harassment and wrongful termination.
