#iamthemob: ?America Rising? Against Democrat Pols

By Phil

ADVERTISEMENTS

Before I get to the video, here are some statistics via an email from ResurgentRepublic.com showing, as I noted in my previous posting, the Democrats starting the New Year in not-so-good fashion:

President Obama

President Obama begins his second year in office with a job approval rating weakened by his handling of the economy and health care.

  • 44 percent of Americans disapprove of President Obama?s job performance, the highest level recorded at the start of the second year in office since Eisenhower. Gallup Survey, 1/2-4.
  • 46 percent of Americans approve of President Obama?s job performance, the lowest approval rating by this survey. Quinnipiac Survey, 12/15-20.
  • By a 55 to 38 margin, Independents disapprove of how President Obama is handling the economy. Quinnipiac Survey, 12/15-20.
  • Independents (80 percent) overwhelmingly believe that health care reform will increase the deficit even when reminded of President Obama?s deficit neutral pledge. Quinnipiac Survey, 12/15-20.

Health Care

In the face of growing public opposition, President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress have increased efforts to pass major health care legislation by any means necessary, including a strict party-line vote.

  • By a 56-42 margin, Americans oppose the health care proposals being debated in Congress. CNN/ORC Survey, 12/16-20.
  • By nearly a 2 to 1 margin, Independents oppose the health care changes under consideration by Congress. Quinnipiac Survey, 12/15-20.
  • More Americans think the health care proposals would change their own coverage for the worse, 37 to 22 percent. CNN/ORC Survey, 12/16-20.
  • Americans oppose the health care legislation in Congress because it will allow the government to become too involved in health care (84 percent cite it as a major reason and 33 percent as the top reason). Pew Research Center Survey, 12/9-13.

And now, the bodaciously kewl video (h/t AllAmericanBlogger).

Make sure you watch the video in full-screen mode with the speakers turned up.
