Health Care Reform Bill Contains Nursing Home Transparency and Elder Justice Act

The new Senate Health Care bill includes the nursing home transparency and improvement act and the elder justice act. This will ensure that criminal background checks are given to all long-term care workers. The House bill does not contain the Elder Justice Act. Since this bill is critical to decreasing elder abuse it is important that you contact your local Congressman and voice your support for the bill.
