Islamic Terrorism on Christmas Day

Sean Osborne, Associate Director 26 December 2009: After an extremely pleasant and enjoyable day celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ with my family yesterday, I settled down to watch the 9 PM news broadcast on WCAU (NBC-owned Channel 10 in Philadelphia, PA). The lead report was about how passengers onboard Delta-Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan helped to disrupt an in-progress attempt by an Islamic terrorist from Nigeria to blow up the aircraft as it prepared to land in Detroit. The all-to-brief respite from the reality of a world at war came to an abrupt end. It became immediately apparent to myself that while the overt Islamic objective to destroy the aircraft while killing all aboard and unknown numbers on the ground below had been averted, the other Islamic objective had succeeded – terror has been struck into our hearts, the hearts of the unbelivers, the infidels, those who reject submission to the false god “allah” (Islam) and his equally false prophet Muhammed...continue to full post
