MOVERS: New managing partner and executive committee at Nordman Cormany

Scott B. Samsky, a partner in Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, has been named managing partner of the Ventura County firm. He is succeeding Anthony H. Trembley, and is also joined on the executive committee by newly appointed member Jonathan F. Light, a partner, and current members Randall George (also a partner) and Chief Executive Officer Tamiann B. Cook.

Samsky?s primary areas of practice include tax and estate planning, multi-generational planning and business succession planning. He was admitted to the bar in California, the United States District Court, Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, in 1981 and the United States Tax Court in 1983. Samsky received his legal education at UCLA.

Light chairs the firm?s employment law group and is past president of the Ventura County Bar Association. George practices in the areas of taxation, corporate and general business law, and estate planning and is chair of the firm?s tax practice group. Cook has been with the firm for 18 years, moving from the accounting department to chief financial officer and was named its chief executive officer in 2003.
