: Dispatches from the Culture WarsFormer Gitmo Prosecutor Testifies for Detainees
By Ed Brayton
AP reports:
Air Force Col. Morris Davis, who resigned in October over alleged political interference in the U.S. military tribunals, told The Associated Press he will appear at a hearing for Salim Ahmed Hamdan."I expect to be called as a witness ... I'm more than happy to testify," Davis said in a telephone interview from Washington. He called it "an opportunity to tell the truth."
Okay, all you braindead Bush acolytes who've been drinking the koolaid on this one, which is it? Is this Air Force officer an America-hating terrorist sympathizer? Or might there be some legitimate problems in who is detained at Gitmo and on the basis of what evidence? Those are really the only two choices. Are you gonna "support the troops" or support Dear Leader?
