A&O Opens Law Links With India - Legal Jobs Expand

UK lawyers Allen & Overy are excited about their new deal in the old colony - India, which you’d have to have been dead for a decade to think was anything but booming in the new business and legal market.

The deal is a ‘referral relationship’ with Trilegal, providing for training and a consultancy agreement between the firms - in other words it gives A&O an important step in the door for the burgeoning legal market and also a leg-up into additional high-growth work. Trilegal has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

A&O partner Alan Pease said of the new arrangement: “They are a meritocratic firm with offices . . . and their lawyers are individually incredibly impressive. These aren’t door-openers, they’re deal-doers.”
