Carrie Prejean at Values Voters Summit

The latest faux-martyr/hero of the religious right, Carrie Prejean, made a triumphant appearance at the Values Voters Summit this weekend, rehearsing the speech she'll be giving to groups of the Righteous all over the country. David Weigel was there and has a report on the whole thing. You could have written this speech yourself, so predictable was the rhetoric. And she was introduced by virulently anti-gay Maggie Gallagher:

"Carrie is going to obey, I think, the most frequently repeated command in the Bible," said Gallagher. "Be not afraid. God bless you, Carrie."
