David Cohen, the former head of the U.S. Department of Interior's Office of Insular Affairs, joined Davis Wright's Los Angeles office as a partner.
At the office of Insular Affairs, Cohen focused on improving the business climates of U.S.-affiliated islands and reaching out to potential investors to promote private sector economic development there.
He will co-head a new 20 lawyer venture at Davis Wright to advise companies that invest and operate in the Pacific. Cohen represents clients in business transactions, specifically involving international project finance, municipal finance, structured finance and telecommunications.
