Congratulations, Jason and Scott

I want to take this opportunity to say congratulations to Jason Kuznicki and Scott Starin on the birth of their daughter, Alice Nia. This is all the result of an open adoption. The birth mother chose Jason and Scott after getting to know them, which I think is the best way such adoptions can possibly be done. I am absolutely thrilled for them.

Jason and Scott will be living counterexamples to the religious right propaganda about gay parents and their allegedly (and mythical) negative effect on children. Alice Nia will be raised by two loving, intelligent, thoughtful parents who sacrificed a great deal to get to this point. What child could ask for more than that?
