: Crime & Federalism"Prosecutors Run Amok"
ADVERTISEMENTS
Kathleen Ridolfi has a must-read column in the Daily Journal (subscription only) about prosecutorial misconduct. This statistic should make everyone queasy:I was a contributor to a recent study published by the California Commission on the Fair Administration of Justice that detailed how California appellate courts found prosecutors committed misconduct in 444 cases. Research identified 347 of the prosecutors and 30 of them were found to have committed misconduct more than once. Two of them actually did it three times. So what happened to them?In only one case was there a sanction - the prosecutor was disciplined by the State Bar.Why?Full post as published by Crime & Federalism on September 02, 2009 (boomark / email).
