Bronx Landlord Fined and Sentenced to 9 Days in Jail for Code Violations

A Bronx landlord, Hamid Khan, was sentenced to nine days in jail and fined $156,000 for failing to correct more than a thousand housing code violations in the 94-unit, 6-story building he owns at 1055 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development said on Wednesday. read more
