Cooley still doing deals

Craig Jacoby, a partner in the San Francisco office of Cooley Godward Kronish, led a team of Cooley lawyers representing SpringSource in its $420 million sale to software virtualization company VMware Inc., announced Aug. 10. San Mateo's SpringSource is a provider of Web application development and management services.

Jacoby, a startup lawyer, has been representing SpringSource since 2007. On the other side of the deal was Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
