Suit Filed in Police Shooting Death

A lawsuit was filed against Prince George?s County and Cpl. Steven Jackson by the family of a man killed by Jackson while he was working off-duty as a security guard. According to the suit, Manuel de Jesus Espina was beaten, shot and killed despite the fact that he was not resisting. The police department released differing versions of the shooting and would not comment on the lawsuit.
