Assistant United States Jason M. Ferguson is Shady

This is some shady stuff.  A criminal defense lawyer is accused of money laundering.  The lawyer allegedly accepted what he knew was "dirty" money for payment of legal fees.  The United States Attorneys Office for Middle District of Georgia has been recused from prosecuting the defense attorney.  The office is recused because AUSA James M. Ferguson of the Middle District tape recorded conversations he had with the lawyer-defendant.  (Under the attorney-advocate rule, a lawyer may not prosecute a case where the lawyer will also serve as a witness.)Despite the recusal, AUSA Ferguson is meddling in the case:Shelnutt's lawyers complain in court filings that Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason M.
