Law Students

T had her first busy work shift one night last week. She'd eased into her new job with a couple of relatively standard shifts, and then her will to work was tested. She dragged herself up the stairs late that night, and told me she was exhausted. I tried to get her to describe how busy they'd been.

Eyes glazed, body wilted, she responded: "I can't talk to you about this right now because I'm still trying to process it."
