Global Counsel Names Award Winners

Winners have been announced in the third annual Global Counsel Awards, an international competition to honor outstanding in-house lawyers and legal departments. The awards are intended to recognize lawyers "for demonstrable achievements across the full spectrum of in-house responsibility, not simply those who have acted on high-profile transactions." Selected as general counsel of the year was Hans Peter Frick of Nestle SA. Individual lawyers honored in other categories were: Competition: John Thorne, Verizon Communications Inc. Corporate tax: Antônio Reinaldo Rabelo Filho, Telemar Norte Leste SA. General commercial: Ela Bochenek, CR Bard Inc. Intellectual property: Krishna Pathiyal, Research In Motion Ltd....
