The Irony Of Voices Coming Out of Two Heads Of the Hydra-1

By John Darer

ADVERTISEMENTS

"Banks, stockbrokers, and other financial planners cannot set up structured settlements. Only authorized structured settlement consultants like those through MTSS can establish your structured settlement"  From the brochure Structures 101- Mass Tort Settlement Services, an IFS Company

BUT, since you made such a big point of it:

  1. Doesn't EPS Settlement Group, another IFS Company, have a relationship with Merrill Lynch Life Agency as described in this excerpt** Download Eps-merrilllynch commission sharing agreement?
  2. Doesn't Little Meyers & Associates, Ltd. have a relationship with Smith Barney and, as we recently covered, Robert W. Baird?
  3. Doesn't Selective Settlements deal with AXA Financial?
  4. Doesn't UBS have its own settlement company that it inherited from Paine Webber?
  5. How 'bout the Goodman's and NFP?

Dog_eat_hotdog_lg_clr The irony is that the apparent purpose for making the above statement is to draw in new business at the expense of "banks, stock brokers and financial planners" while apparently having entered into arrangements whereby those firms, or sister firms give access to "banks, stock brokers and financial planners" along with financial consideration.

**During negotations on a commission split on a case an EPS broker allegedly supplied this as back up to the claim that he/she had to take into account what was owed to Merrill Lynch as part of the criteria for determining the final split.
