Colonial Bank Cuts 136 Jobs Across 5 States

Colonial Bank announced it eliminated 136 jobs across its five-state footprint this week, in­cluding about 30 positions in the Montgomery and south Alaba­ma markets.

Colonial spokeswoman Mer­rie Tolbert said the cuts im­pacted about 3 percent of Colo­nial's work force of 4,873 employees.
