Asks "what is the most daunting challenge facing China today?" and gives the following four choices: A still-sizable poor population that has been left behind The adverse environmental effects of its rapid industrialization Overwhelming pressure to create enough jobs to reduce unemployment A yearning for democracy that cannot be suppressed I picked the adverse environmental effects of its rapid industrialization but thought about picking the jobs one.
