ADVERTISEMENTS
Howard Dean, on the Super Delegates:Their role is to exercise their best judgment in the interests of the nation and of the Democratic Party. I am confident that they will carry out that duty responsibly and in accordance with the highest values of our democracy and our Party.
Wow. What a coward. This superdelegate thing could tear apart the party and you say go ahead, do it.
No discussion of commitments, as I suggest here. No discussion of subverting the popular will, whatever definition you want to apply to that phrase.
At bottom, it's a complete abdication of any responsibility to see that the nomination process isn't the source of incredible tension within the party.
Bad move, Howard Dean.
