Enthusiasm Gap

One of the frequent points pundits are making this cycle is that there is an "enthusiasm gap" being demonstrated by the lower voter turnout in Republican primary contests, as compared to Democratic contests. Not everyone is convinced.

But if you are inclined to believe that there is an enthusiasm gap (and I am), here's another measure --- online stores. Nearly every single shirt, sweatshirt, fleece, and hat in Barack Obama's online store is on "back order" right now. Or, in other words, sold out.

But don't worry, true Obama fans. You can still get a Christmas ornament here. And it's not totally clear, but "subject to availability," you can still get your "California for Obama" shirt here.

Who would have thought there would be a huge second market for political items from the current election cycle? Not me.
