Marvell Technology Group Ltd. has agreed to pay $72 million to settle a shareholder lawsuit related to the chipmaker's past stock option granting practices. The lawsuit accused the company of backdating stock options and overstating income from 2000 to 2006. The settlement must now be approved by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, according to the company.
