: Legal Pad | LACA Judge Association reacts to performance evaluation idea

The California Judges Association alerted members about a possible effort to make all jurists face retention votes and undergo performance evaluations that would go public before elections, The Recorder reports.
The mass e-mail to CJA members was prompted by a recent presentation by William Vickrey, executive director of the state Administrative Office of the Courts, suggesting performance evaluations of judges facing retention or re-election could serve voters.
