: ThePopTortBreaking News! The U.S Supreme Court Delays Bankrupt Chrysler Sale to Fiat!
By Andy Hoffman
The headline says it all! And as you can imagine, we?re pretty ecstatic over here, given what the bankruptcy would mean for those injured by the ?old? Chrysler?s product defects (here, here, here, here).
Of course, like all breaking news, the situation remains extremely fluid. Still, here?s a little of what we know:
? Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has temporarily delayed Chrysler's sale to Fiat.
? Ginsburg says in an order Monday that the sale is "stayed pending further order."
? The action indicates that the delay may only be temporary.
? Chrysler has said a delay could scuttle the deal.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, and Reuters
are also scrambling to cover the story. Stay tuned?more to come!
