: Bodily Injury BlogSettlement Finalized in Wal-Mart Wage Suit

In a joint announcement Thursday, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and plaintiff attorneys said a judge has granted final approval for a settlement to resolve scores of wage-and-hour claims by store employees. The settlement, estimated to be worth $54.25 million, will cover about 100,000 current and former workers employed by the retailer from Sept. 11, 1998, until Nov. 14, 2008. The lawsuit accused Wal-Mart of failing to provide break time and forcing employees to work off the clock.
