Firm Turns the Tables on Debt Collectors

Albany, NY: Strict rules protect people who fall into debt from bill collection agencies that use unscrupulous tactics. Unfortunately, there are also armies of debt collectors that routinely break the law. Attorney Chris Gleason, who specializes in bankruptcy and debt repayment issues, says the bad economy has led to some egregious examples of bill collectors zealously breaking the rules of engagement. "Every day, people call me and tell me these incredible stories and I think you must be making this up," says Gleason. "It is just getting worse and worse!"
