Nominations now open for the second annual Silver Cow Patty Award for excellence in country lawyering

As the creator and first annual recipient of the Silver Cow Patty, I now open nominations up for the Second Annual Silver Cow Patty Award.

The rules and regulations are as follows:

1. Simple Country Lawyers shall self nominate.
2. Entrants must have a sense of humor.
3. Entrants must not practice in any major metro area and all simple country lawyers from the United States and Canada are eligible.
4. Entrants must be satisfied with a replica cow patty on their trophy or award plaque.
5. Entrants must write a 500 word or less guest blog post on the Law Blawg of Theresa Petrey, PLLC, detailing why they should win the 2009 Silver Cow Patty.
6. Entrants shall retain their own rights to subsequent publication.
7. Theresa Petrey will be the sole judge of the nominations, but will consider friend of the court blog comments.
8. Entrants should be aware that all the rules and regulations are subject to change at any time.
Deadline for entries is September 15, 2009.
