: Jenkins WebblitsWindows 7 To Ship This Year?
Looks like Windows 7 might actually get out the door this year, according to the Windows 7 Team Blog:
“If the telemetry we receive from the Windows 7 RC meets our expectations in terms of quality, then we expect to hit RTM [release to manufacturing] in 3 months or so … If this happens, it looks like we'll be able to have Windows 7 done in time for the holidays.”
Let me translate:
“Unless we find some hidden bug that’ll reduce your PC to a smoking pile of molten plastic, there’s no way we’re gonna miss out on the holiday season this year.”
Brandon LeBlanc, Windows Communications Manager, ends his post with 2 suggestions: run the Windows 7 Release Candidate on your PC and go see Star Trek. Do what you want with Win 7, but I definitely recommend seeing Start Trek.
