Plus this: Americans think the Bush Administration used torture. But wait, they approve. Well, possibly. But at any rate, the torture issue was mostly a political tool designed to cow right-leaning members of the punditocracy by calling them Nazis. Now that it’s not needed so much, it can be allowed to die. Those pushing it are much quieter about the Obama Administration’s positions.
