I Heart Michelle Bachmann

By Ed Brayton

ADVERTISEMENTS

I'm sure you saw this on Olbermann, but it still bears showing again. She blames FDR for the "Hoot-Smawley" act -- obviously, the Smoot-Hawley act -- despite the fact that it was passed before FDR took office, signed into law by Herbert Hoover, a Republican, and written by two Republicans (Sen. Reed Smoot of Utah and Rep. Willis Hawley of Oregon). The woman is incomparably stupid.

If Michelle Bachman didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent her. She's like a South Park character come to life, a walking, talking self-parody. I'm beginning to think that she's really a Democratic operative pretending to be a Republican just to make them look stupid. Video below the fold.
