No Mo' Money For Lawyers

CareerBuilder.Com has released America's 20 Fastest-Growing Salaries, and guess what? Except for #20, Law Clerks at a growth rate of 4.4% and an average salary of $42,754, lawyers are not anywhere on the list. Well anyway, not real practicing lawyers. Despite all of the press as to what a few new associates are receiving at the biggest law firm, we as a profession do not even make the top 20 in income growth. Anthropologists are up. Agents and business managers are up. Public relations managers are up. Purchasing managers are up. It would not be a big deal if the costs of everything was not rising around us.
